Gathering for Ph.D. candidates

When: Monday November 23rd at 11.30–18.00

Where: Scandic Bergen City, Håkonshallen 2, Bergen

The National Research School in Gender Studies arranges a basic course in Gender Theory every other year and a gathering for Ph.D. candidates the year in-between.

The conference Gender Theory Now! is a good opportunity to meet.

At the Ph.D.-gathering we have invited two researchers who recently completed their Ph.D.s to share their experiences with us.

There will also be plenty of time to discuss your own research projects in smaller groups.

During the group work we will examine how different understandings of gender can inform or be the result of scholarly analysis.

To be part of the working groups, we ask that you submit a note of 2-5 pages where you 1) give a short summary of the theme of your dissertation and 2) EITHER: present a question concerning your analysis that you want to discuss OR: present a short example of one of the things you want to analyse.

The note will be sent to all participants prior to the gathering.
